PHARMACY AT ST. JOHN’S REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER DONATES TO
HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS
Pharmacy Donates Medical Supplies Amounting to Over $9,000
Oxnard, Calif. (February 24, 2010) – The Pharmacy at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard recently contributed $9,220 worth of wholesale medical supplies to Haiti earthquake relief efforts through PROJECT C.U.R.E. (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment).
The pharmacies at St. John’s routinely use products from Baxa Corporation, including oral syringes, IV admixture supplies, unit dose cups, and more. With each order made through Baxa Corporation, a BaxaBucks coupon is enclosed, which can be used to purchase promotional products. The Pharmacy at St. John’s Regional Medical Center has been saving these BaxaBucks coupons over a period of time, so when the opportunity arose to contribute to a cause that would provide for imperative healthcare needs globally, the Pharmacy staff did not hesitate to participate.
The BaxaBucks coupons collected by St. John’s Regional Medical Center, which translated into $9,220 worth of wholesale medical supplies, were donated to PROJECT C.U.R.E., and will help deliver health and hope to Haiti following the devastating series of earthquakes that took place on January 12.
