To find a cardiologist at St. John's, call 855-53-HEART.

Regardless of how successful your surgery is, you will need some level of rehabilitation following a heart intervention. St. John's Hospitals offer cardiac rehabilitation services at St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo and St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
Our cardiac rehabilitation specialists monitor the patient's recovery and provide exercise programs to help strengthen the heart. For up to 12 weeks after your heart attack, angioplasty, angina or other heart-related problem, you can participate in your own individualized rehabilitation. Our program is a monitored and supervised telemetry program, which allows you to exercise on treadmills, exercise bikes and upper cycles to help strengthen your arms. It promotes moderate exercise at home, as well as diet modification.
Our team of physical therapists and nurses will answer questions about your diet and exercise and provide an overview about how you can maintain a healthy lifestyle. Videos and workbooks are also available to assist you. The payoff is well worth the effort, especially among those who have already had a heart attack. Participation in cardiac rehabilitation can greatly reduce the risk of a major cardiac event.
