Medical Interventions
The medical oncologists affiliated with our Cancer Center use the latest cancer-fighting drugs to treat and cure all kinds of cancer. more

 

IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy)
We work with Radiation Oncology Center of Ventura County (ROCVC) to bring an advanced radiation system, called IMRT, to Ventura County. more

LINAC Scalpel
The LINAC scalpel, a sophisticated method of treating cancer that can more effectively influence the outcome for some patients, is available at ROCVC. more

Prostate Cancer and Brachytherapy
ROCVC has successfully treated patients with prostate cancer with the use of Proseed, otherwise known as brachytherapy, which permanently implants radioactive seeds into the prostate gland. Proseed delivers a prescribed dose of radiation directly to the cancer cells while decreasing the risk of radiating surrounding tissues or organs.

Clinical Trials
St. John's affiliation with the UCLA Jonnson Cancer Center provides patients with access to clinical trials currently being conducted nationwide. more
